Spiritual Spring Cleaning

Spring is the BEST. There is no greater feeling than walking along on that first warm day of the year. Maybe you spot some daffodils poking their little sweet heads up out of the dirt, and maybe you realize you can remove a layer or two of your own.
I really struggle with winter – I can feel my body tense in the cold, my joints hurt a little more, and I have to expend so much more energy just to get out the door.
On the other hand, in the springtime, we open our windows, head to the park a lot more often, and let the sunlight soak into our skin. Our muscles relax, endorphins buzz, and everyone just seems a LOT happier.
And how cool that the spring equinox on March 20th aligns with the return of Aries Season?! I am an Aries – perhaps that’s one of the reasons I love this time of year so much! I always feel so much more alive during Aries season (does anyone else feel that way during their sun sign’s season?) – I feel so re-energized, it’s as if I could take on the whole world. But even if you’re not an Aries, you can tap into this adventurous, passionate, action-oriented energy.
Unfortunately, with the dawn of the first zodiac sign also comes some more difficult emotions – the rise of the ego and a bit more self-centeredness. It’s vital to reflect on ways to counteract these tendencies before they begin!
You’ve heard of Spring Cleaning – washing the windows, cleaning the car out, doing all the time-consuming cleaning tasks that you leave undone the rest of the year. It’s a necessary part of living a balanced life, taking care of your environment, and making sure the rest of the year flows smoothly.
But did you know you could also conduct a Spiritual Spring Cleaning? Why not clear the spiritual cobwebs, banish those pesky thoughts you’ve felt creep back up since the New Year, keep tabs on your self-care practice, and reflect on how it might need to be revamped?
Don’t worry – I’ve got you covered with another journal reflection. Let’s dig in together to set ourselves up for a spiritually aligned Spring, and celebrate these longer days, warmer temperatures, and resurgence of life! Download your FREE Spiritual Spring Cleaning journal here!
Tell me in the comments below, Dear Ones: How do you plan to self-care for yourself differently this Spring? I’d LOVE to hear! I plan to meditate more outside, under the shade of the cottonwood tree in my backyard, with focused gratitude for Mother Earth.
Until next time, be well & take gentle self care.
